The primary goal of ISE ONTARIO is to provide to Ontario students and teachers The best possible programs At the lowest possible cost The objectives of the INTERNSHIP PROGRAM ABROAD are: To enhance the linguistic proficiency of second language teachers To provide an opportunity for teaching experience abroad To heighten cultural awareness by living abroad with a host family To establish contacts with native speakers who may serve as life-long resources for authentic teaching material, possible exchange opportunities... Program Description: The Internship program is 5 weeks including all of May. All academic arrangements are made by the participants with their Faculty advisors. ISE ONTARIO arranges through its partners abroad for the school and family placements, and makes all travel and insurance arrangements. Program Costs: Participation costs for the 2010 program are approximately $1900 (based on current exchange rates) and include: International air travel from Toronto Comprehensive insurance package with flight cancellation and emergency medical Airport assistance in Toronto and upon arrival in the host country Fee of the partner association in the host country for school and family placement ISE ONTARIO administration fee * Not included are the costs of accommodation and daily travel to school PARTICIPATION and Application Procedures: The number of participants is limited.
